Park Alerts & Road Conditions: Check the DBCA Park Alerts website prior to travel: https://alerts.dbca.wa.gov.au, the Emergency WA website: https://www.emergency.wa.gov.au/ and the Main Roads WA website: https://travelmap.mainroads.wa.gov.au/Home/Map. A 4WD vehicle is recommended as there is a mix of sealed and unsealed, roads. If there is severe weather in the area localised flooding can occur and the Karijini National Park rangers may sometimes close the park to all but 4WD vehicles, or close the park completely. Please bear in mind when driving anywhere in the remote Pilbara it is a good idea to carry plenty of spares and a good supply of water.

Karijini National Park Pass: Passes are available for purchase from the Department of Biodiversity, Conservations and Attractions website: https://shop.dbca.wa.gov.au/collections/park-passes, at any Visitor Centre, at entry points into the Karijini National Park (cash only), or at the Karijini Eco Retreat Reception (cash only).

Site Information: Camp fires are NOT permitted anywhere in the Karijini National Park. There are no bins and no rubbish removal service at the Retreat or in the Park. Please take your rubbish with you on departure and dispose of responsibly. For phone and data network coverage, Optus and Telstra reception is available at the Eco Retreat.
