Perth, the capital of Western Australia, has more sunny days than any other capital city in the country. Explore pristine white-sand beaches like Cottesloe Beach or catch the waves at Scarborough Beach – one of the most popular surf spots in Perth!

Stroll through vibrant and trendy districts like Northbridge and Leederville and admire panoramic city views from Kings Park. Don’t miss the port of Fremantle, dubbed as Perth’s Old Town – famous for its weekend markets and historic charm. From here, hop on a ferry to Rottnest Island to meet a smiling quokka or snorkel in crystal-clear waters around its secluded coves. 

Margaret River & the South-West: wine, beaches, and scenic escapes

The South-West region is a paradise for foodies, surfers and nature lovers. Explore the renowned Margaret River wine region with its vast array of award-winning wineries, boutique breweries and gourmet dining options. 

Stroll along the 1.8km-long Busselton Jetty – the longest jetty in the southern hemisphere or swim in Busselton's clear waters. Head to Walpole and walk high above the forest on the Valley of the Giants Tree Top Walk.


If you venture further down to the Great Southern region, make sure to explore pristine beaches in Denmark, Albany and Bremer Bay. Climb the 75m-high Bicentennial Tree in Pemberton and immerse yourself in history at Albany’s National ANZAC Centre.

The Coral Coast: a marine paradise

The Coral Coast stretches 1100kms from Cervantes (2 hours north of Perth) to Exmouth. This is an exciting road trip full of unique experiences and adventures. Along the Indian Ocean Drive, explore the mystical landscape of the Pinnacles Desert. Near Geraldton, the Abrolhos Islands with its white sand beaches and clear waters, are a popular spot for snorkelling, diving and fishing. Shark Bay – a world heritage-listed area with a coastline of over 1500km is known for its rich marine life and rare flora and fauna. Geraldton is the perfect base to visit Hutt Lagoon Pink Lake and marvel at 400-million-year-old gorges and ancient rock formations at Kalbarri National Park.


Further north, the Ningaloo region of Western Australia's Coral Coast encompasses the towns of Carnarvon, Coral Bay and Exmouth. Exmouth is a gateway to Ningaloo Reef – the largest fringing reef in the world, where you can swim with whale sharks, from late March to August. It’s also home to other marine life including dolphins, turtles and humpback whales. At Coral Bay, you can snorkel with manta rays and at Monkey Mia, you can get up close with local bottlenose dolphins as they swim close to shore to interact with humans at the beach.

The Pilbara: dramatic landscapes and natural wonders

The Pilbara is a haven of rugged natural beauty, home to the striking Karijini National Park, featuring towering gorges, cascading waterfalls and crystal-clear swimming holes. Visit the Burrup Peninsula to marvel at ancient Indigenous rock art or explore the mining towns of Karratha and Dampier, home to the famous Red Dog legend. This rugged region is perfect for adventurers seeking spectacular outback scenery and rich cultural history.

The Kimberley Region: nature, culture, and adventure

Within the Kimberley region is the World Heritage listed Bungle Bungle Range, in Purnululu National Park. It is an amazing geological formation of orange and black striped sandstone domes, which looks like bee hives.

This Australian icon and one of the most famous symbols of the Kimberley region, is over 350 million years old! Rising 300m, this surreal and natural phenomenon is best enjoyed on a scenic flight to view the incredible sight from above, followed by a guided walking tour to discover the long narrow chasms and hidden gorges.
