Beach Renovation Advice - 5 January to 25 January 2025 - Upgrades to the beach in will commence in two phases:
During the first phase, half of the beach will be closed for renovation while the other half remains fully accessible to guests.
Once the first phase is complete, we will proceed to renovate the remaining half. After discussions with our contractor and engineering team, I would like to share the following details regarding the renovation:
Modern Construction Technique: A wall to prevent erosion will be constructed using advanced techniques. This involves digging below ground and pumping fresh concrete from locations several hundred meters to one km away from the resort. Once the concrete is set, a low wall will be built a few cms above ground. Over time, natural sand accumulation during the summer will restore the beach’s natural appearance.
This renovation will not involve pumping sand from the sea or using fuel-powered machinery or produce any unpleasant odours or environmental pollution.
This method ensures minimal noise and avoids seawater or remaining beach area pollution. The construction site will be carefully shielded to prevent disturbances or obstruct the view from the garden to the sea. However, guests accessing the beach will see the renovation activities.
